We are excited to be able to tell you that our planning application to
convert the grass courts to a hard surface is now up on the Greenwich
Council Planning Portal, with a decision expected in May!
The Planning portal provides an opportunity to comment on planning proposals and we are encouraging all our members to comment favorably to underline to the planners the value the club brings to the community and the benefits of the proposal.

If you'd like to comment, here's some key points you might want to touch on
(please use your own words):
-The club is a nonprofit community association with deep roots in the local community (we've been around since 1885!)
-The club is hugely popular, demand for courts is very high and we have a very long waiting list of people wanting to join the club
-We are a highly diverse group of people catering to local people from all backgrounds and walks of life
-We run multiple programmes for children and schools, and are adding
programmes to provide tennis opportunities for disabled players
-We're running programmes looking to attract talented players and help them develop
-We aim to host at least one social event per month so people can meet others and build community engagement with our tennis tournament proceeds going to local charities
*We would also like to let everyone know we have hired a gentleman (Brian) to help with the upkeep of our tennis area for 4-6 hours per week. Please email in any jobs around the club you think may need doing or if you spot something that needs fixing
