We’re delighted to announce that entries for the Blackheath Lawn Tennis Club Championships 2026 are now open, with entries closing on Wednesday 15th April.
For 2026, we have moved over to the LTA competition platform, which brings a number of benefits. From an administrative perspective, it streamlines the process significantly, and importantly, match results will now be recorded and contribute (albeit slightly) towards your LTA rating. How to Enter
To enter this year’s Championships:

Competition Format & Scheduling
We have made a slight adjustment to the round timelines, allowing greater flexibility between matches. This should help accommodate holidays and travel, ensuring as many members as possible can take part and enjoy the competition.
Finals Day: Saturday 18th July 2026

Open – All Players
- Men’s Singles
- Men’s Doubles
- Women’s Singles
- Women’s Doubles
- Mixed Doubles
Tier 1 – All Players Except 1st or 2nd Team Players
- Men’s Singles
- Men’s Doubles
- Women’s Singles
- Women’s Doubles
- Mixed Doubles
Tier 2 – All Players Except 1st to 4th Team Players
- Men’s Singles
- Men’s Doubles
- Women’s Singles
- Women’s Doubles
- Mixed Doubles
Junior (12 & Under)
- Boys’ Singles
- Girls’ Singles
Junior (16 & Under)
- Boys’ Singles
- Girls’ Singles
Key Rules & Information
- Entry is open to fully paid playing members of the Club only
- Players reaching the finals must be available to play on Finals Day
- Maximum of 5 events per player
Entry fees:
- £5 per singles event
- £6 per doubles pair (each player must enter individually)
- Matches must be completed by the play-by dates shown on the draws
Results & Reporting
- All match results must be recorded on the tournament board in the clubhouse
- Online self-entry of scores is no longer available
- Results will be uploaded to the LTA system throughout the week
- It is the responsibility of all players to ensure matches are completed and recorded, failure to do so may result in disqualification
Match Format
- All rounds up to semi-finals:
- Best of 3 sets with a championship tie-break (first to 10 points) in the third set
- Semi-finals & finals:
- Best of 3 full tie-break sets

- Please note that all decisions made by the Tournament Director are final.
We will also be looking to introduce junior events for younger age groups, with more details to follow shortly.
